The third major of the year is here, with Wimbledon offering the only chance to experience Grand Slam tennis on grass. Read on for our full preview, including betting tips and predictions for the tournament.
ATP Wimbledon Odds and Favorites
A total of 128 men will compete in London, but only one will lift the trophy. Who will it be? For context, here’s what the latest bookmaker odds and tournament seeding reveal.
Men’s 2025 Wimbledon Betting Odds
- Carlos Alcaraz @ 2.10 (+110)
- Jannik Sinner @ 2.75 (+175)
- Novak Djokovic @ 6.50 (+550)
- Jack Draper @ 15.00 (+1400)
- Alexander Zverev @ 21.00 (+2000)
- Daniil Medvedev @ 29.00 (+2800)
- Taylor Fritz @ 34.00 (+3300)
- Jiri Lehecka @ 51.00 (+5000)
- Alexander Bublik @ 51.00 (+5000)
- Ben Shelton @ 81.00 (+8000)
There are two clear favorites to win Wimbledon in 2025: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
Behind these two, Novak Djokovic sits alone as a tier two contender, about halfway between the two favorites and the third tier. Jack Draper, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz are all given modest odds of winning, before odds lengthen significantly for Jiri Lehecka and beyond.
Notably, it only takes eight lines of betting before odds reach 51.00 (+5000) or higher, and only three players have odds of 10.00 (+900) or less. What this tells us is only a few players have realistic chances of winning the title; but if a dark horse does make a run, there’s a lot of betting value to be had.
Top Dark Horses for ATP Wimbledon 2025
Looking for a little more value in your tennis bets? Here are a few dark horse candidates to consider in the men’s Wimbledon draw this year.
- Alexander Bublik
- Matteo Berrettini
- Jakub Mensik
- Frances Tiafoe
- Tallon Griekspoor
Alexander Bublik @ 51.00 (+5000)
Alexander Bublik comes into Wimbledon as arguably one of the top 10 grass players in the world right now. The Kazakh has been a revelation in the past few months, storming his way to the Roland-Garros quarter-finals with wins over Alex de Minaur and Jack Draper, before claiming his second Halle title last week (beating none other than Jannik Sinner along the way).
He’s notoriously inconsistent and has a tricky draw, but with a price of 51.00 (+5000) is still an excellent dark horse.
Matteo Berrettini @ 101.00 (+10000)
Outside of Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, Matteo Berrettini is the most accomplished grass court player in the men’s draw. He’s won Queen’s and Stuttgart twice each and made the final of Wimbledon in 2021.
His odds are only as long as 101.00 (+10000) because he’s been out of action with an injury. However, the draw gods have been kind to Berrettini, and he often plays great without much time on court.
Jakub Mensik @ 101.00 (+10000)
Teen Jakub Mensik has the kind of precise, booming serve and wicked flat forehand that are built for grass-court tennis. While he hasn’t strung together much on the surface so far in his young career, he did show earlier this season in Miami that he’s comfortable on the big stage. Five-set matches and a tendency to underperform at majors is a concern, but if it all clicks, Mensik is a genuine threat.
Tallon Griekspoor @ 251.00 (+25000)
Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor quietly has a 25-12 record on grass over his career. Again, it’s the flat forehand that gets great pay on the surface.
He’s in fine form right now – through to the final of Mallorca this weekend – and has previously won s Hertogenbosch as well. With odds of 251.00 (+25000), he’s a prime candidate to make a deep run.
Frances Tiafoe @ 351.00 (+35000)
Frances Tiafoe has the unfortunate luck of being drawn in Carlos Alcaraz’s quarter, hence his astronomical odds of 351.00 (+35000). But don’t let that stop you putting a few units on him.
The American’s backhand is world-class on grass, and his serve gets plenty of free points too. We all know he loves the big stage and gets better when he’s up against the sport’s best. Tiafoe has a title on grass and has made the second week of Wimbledon before.
Betting Tips and Value Bets for the ATP Wimbledon 2025
Now that we’ve looked at the Wimbledon betting odds and dark horses, it’s time for some of our predictions. Here are our top tips:
- Novak Djokovic to Win @ 6.50 (+550)
Djokovic has a comfortable path to the semi-finals, despite being drawn in the same quarter as Jack Draper. This means that he’ll reach a likely final-four encounter against Jannik Sinner with plenty of gas in the tank. Though the head-to-head hasn’t favored him in the past, on grass is his best shot of taking down the Italian, and he’s shown he’s got a big performance in him at the year’s previous majors.
Should he make the final, then we back Djokovic to get over the line, given how hungry he is for major No 25 and how limited his chances are moving forward.

- Matteo Berrettini to Win Quarter Three @ 10.00 (+900)
As touched on above, Berrettini is a brilliant grass player. He’s great at hitting the ground running, and has been placed in an excellent quarter to make a deep run. His seeds are Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev – all players that have looked far from rock solid in 2025, or struggle on grass. He’s made big runs at Wimbledon before, and with odds of 10.00 (+900), backing Berrettini to get out of this quarter is great value.
- Arthur Rinderknech to Beat Alexander Zverev @ 7.00 (+600)
This bet is less about Arthur Rinderknech and more about Zverev. The German is lousy on grass, compared to every other surface. At the Australian Open, Roland-Garros and US Open, he’s made the quarters or further at least three times each. Yet here at Wimbledon, his best result is the round of 16.
Plus, the world No 3 has played an enormous amount of tennis already this year. At some stage that’s got to catch up to him, and what better place for that to happen than in the opening round of Wimbledon.
- Alex Bolt to Beat Ben Shelton @ 4.00 (+300)
Australia’s Alex Bolt is a crafty player with a game tailor-made for grass. He slices well, volleys excellently and has a great transition game. Ben Shelton, on the other hand, is still finding his movement on the surface. He loses some of the bite from his kick serve on grass, and won’t be able to run around as many forehands. All of this combines to make this match up much closer than the bookies are pricing it.
- Jaume Munar to Beat Alexander Bublik @ 5.00 (+400)
Yes, we called Bublik one of the top 10 players on grass at the moment – but he could well go out first round too. The Kazakh has never entered a Grand Slam with the kind of expectation that will be surrounding him in London this week. For a player that is mercurial at the best of times, this is unlikely to get the best out of him.
Jaume Munar, on the other hand, has been a tough beat this year. He very nearly defeated Alcaraz in Queen’s earlier this month, so if Bublik is shaky, he’ll pounce on the opportunity. More on Jaume Munar and his racquet.
