This is the season for racquets releases and I just saw some interesting new racquets from Volkl including the Volkl C10 Pro Evo!

New Racquets from Volkl

You almost feel like it’s Christmas if you’re a racquet nerd! There are so many releases of new frames: Aero, Tfight, Extreme, Wilson Night Session, Osaka Ezone, the ProKennex Ki 10 and now also new racquets from Volkl. The Volkl racquets include a lighter version of the legendary C10 Pro called C10 EVO, which I’m sure will interest many tennis nerds.

There will also be a new C10 Pro and a C10 Pro 25th anniversary edition (only a 1000 made) with the same specs.

We will also see a V1 EVO and a V1 Classic 2022.

You can check out the Volkl racquets on Tennis Warehouse or Tennis Only.

Here is an overview:

Will there be reviews?

As I wrote above, there is currently loads of reviews going on. But I’m extra curious about the new EVO racquets, which aim to evolve the legendary Volkl racquets into something more modern. Especially the Volkl C10 EVO is interesting. Let’s have a look at the specs:

Head Size: 98 in / 632.26 cm
Length: 27in / 68.58cm
Strung Weight:11.4oz / 323g
Balance: 12.99in / 32.99cm / 4 pts HL
Swingweight: 319
Stiffness: 63
Beam Width: 20mm / 20mm / 20mm
Composition: Graphite
Power Level: Low
Stroke Style: Full
Swing Speed: Fast
Racquet Colors:Black/Yellow
Grip Type: Volkl Synthetic
String Pattern:

16 Mains / 19 Crosses
Mains skip: 8T,8H

A true player frame with a 20 mm beam and a low-ish stiffness. The question is if it will have enough power at that swing weight and thin beam profile. On the other hand, there is room for customization. Similar racquets would be the Blade 98 V8 16×19 or the Tecnifibre TF40, but they have slightly thicker beams for a bit more free power.

I’m curious about this one, but the V1 Classic is also a legend with its 102 sq inch head size and good power level.

What is your opinion of the current Volkl frames?
